WE HELP CREATE PRODUCTS
that live At the intersection of
customer and business value

How We Can Help You

From the fuzzy front end to commercialization, we provide coaching and advisory services to product, marketing and executive teams.  We equally support early stage companies looking to scale and mature teams hoping to define and build new products and business models. We run individual coaching and can customize team workshops

Our bias is to delight the customer, and the best way to do that is by empowering product teams to navigate the ambiguity of the discovery process to create an inspiring product vision.

LEARN FAST, FAIL FORWARD, ITERATE OFTEN

De-risking a new product idea is a noble goal, however, proof of success is not always easy to come by. For this reason we believe the best product teams understand the importance of rapid prototyping, rigorous testing and iterative design to hone a product hypothesis into a valuable customer solution.

Kate Collins partners with The Product Guild through her Toronto-based company, Products With Purpose. Kate is a product and design coach whose work path is driven by the question: how can we affect change and be changed by finding better work outcomes together? She has tested answers with content creator and tech teams at Turner Broadcasting, Thomson-Reuters, CBC, and many start-ups. She often looks outside her field/comfort zone for answers, including a stint learning from bringing military and civilian innovators together in Humanitarian Disaster Relief sprints. Recently, that work has included mentoring at Canada’s first feminist entrepreneur’s accelerator, as well as personal exploration as a student-artist to harness collaborative creativity.

Kate is an experienced workshop leader, with professional facilitation credentials. Her recent 5-year gig was to develop and run sessions for teams to explore and master all aspects of creative, critical thought. Her sessions include hands-on exercises, either individual or collective. From prior work, she’s experienced with teams from diverse industries (media, health, games, kids, legal, NFP) and varying roles (technologist, sales, finance, content-creation, librarians etc.).
